Tiberius Ignat es Director de Scientific Knowledge Services, compañía especializada en ayudar a las bibliotecas europeas a adoptar nuevas tecnologías y formas de trabajo. Desde hace cuatro años dirige, en colaboración con UCL Press y LIBER Europe, una exitosa serie de talleres - Focus On Open Science. Después de ser miembro individual de LIBER por mucho tiempo, se conviritó en LIBER Associate a través de su empresa, siendo actualmente vicepresidente del LIBER Citizen Science Working Group y miembro del Innovative Metrics Working Group. Es miembro de la European Citizen Science Association y de Citizen Science Association (US), y miembro del Scientific Committee para OAI11 del CERN - UNIGE Workshop on Innovations in Scholarly Communication. Tiene un interés personal en Ciencia Abierta, especialmente en Citizen Science y la gestión de este cambio cultural. Posee un Ph.D. in Library and Information Science por la Universidad de Bucarest.
Tiberius Ignat is the Director of Scientific Knowledge Services, a company that specializes in helping the European libraries to embrace new technologies and ways of working. He runs in partnership with UCL Press and LIBER Europe a successful series of workshops - Focus On Open Science, now in its fourth year. After being a long-time individual member of LIBER, he became a LIBER Associate through his company where he is now the vice-chair of LIBER Citizen Science Working Group and a member of the Innovative Metrics Working Group. Tiberius is a member of the European Citizen Science Association and Citizen Science Association (US) and a member of the Scientific Committee for OAI11, the CERN - UNIGE Workshop on Innovations in Scholarly Communication. Tiberius Ignat has a personal interest in Open Science, particularly Citizen Science and the management of this cultural change. He has a Ph.D. in Library and Information Science from the University of Bucharest.
