Investigador Ramón y Cajal en el Instituto de Lenguas y Culturas del Mediterráneo y Oriente Próximo del CSIC. Soy doctor por la Freie Universität Berlin en 2012. Fui Marie Curie Fellow en la School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London (programa M4HUMAN cofinanciado por la fundación Gerda Henkel y la Unión Europea, 2013-2015). Me incorporé al CSIC gracias a una segunda ayuda Marie Curie (Intra European Fellowship, 2015-2017). En octubre 2017 fui investigador visitante en el Institute for Advanced Study en Princeton, NJ. Mis principales líneas de investigación versan sobre la historia intelectual musulmana y su herencia textual manuscrita. Soy director de la revista Intelllectual History of the Islamicate World y secretario de la revista Al-Qanṭara.

Researcher Ramón y Cajal at the Institute of Languages and Cultures of the Mediterranean and Middle East of the CSIC. I have a PhD from the Freie Universität Berlin in 2012. I was Marie Curie Fellow at the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London (M4HUMAN program co-funded by the Gerda Henkel Foundation and the European Union, 2013-2015). I joined the CSIC thanks to a second help Marie Curie (Intra European Fellowship, 2015-2017). In October 2017 I was a visiting researcher at the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton, NJ. My main lines of research deal with Muslim intellectual history and its handwritten textual heritage. I am director of the Intelllectual History of the Islamicate World magazine and secretary of Al-Qanṭara magazine.
